I) Hail! Well it’s been a long time since I promised you that damned interview eh eh! Sorry for the delay! What’s new with you and Stricto Sensu Rekords ? 

Hail, about the Stricto Sensu, Im pondering the construction of a new website, a little more elaborate but into the same line. Also im trying to release some vinyl soon as possible, and some merchandise too. And I’ll try hardly to put out something that I want since I started with my label, that will be one of the few times that Stricto Sensu can come with this kind of attitudes,that is trying to release a cd (digipack) of Ond Aand, I think they deserve this effort , seen that the objective of the label is just to release tapes and vinyl exclusively. ..is everything aim of a slow trial, but also somewhat unexpected things can arise ,this is the reflexion not have an common label, soon will see what happens.. 

II) My first question deals with the name of your label: it is rather uncommon to call a label “Stricto Sensu Rekords”. What is your philosophy (if there is one) behind this choice ? 

Names isn’t the big factor for me, is obvious that should had some sense, but there are situations that does not oblige to that, is the same thing that you will have your label with a name of somewhat (that be able to or do not exist) and in the however do not live on the margin of that, but I can give a short explanation for such choice, the true will was to create something that fled to the cliché , you have immense names that are almost annoying , I do not want to judge or even criticise they’re choices , but I’ve wanted something peculiar not for detach of other labels, but for isolate myself from the choices of the "market". Second the true sense of the things had to be something that touched in the handnumbered and limited stuff, now Stricto Sensu (comes of the Latin) and signifies extremely limited and with a restricted sense, this is the explanation, I expect that had been clear enough . Strictly Limited to Cursed Souls 

III) When people enter the label’s website, they can clearly consider your demands: “Stricto Sensu Rekords is not a trendies label. I don’t want any kind of connections to the several forms of metal of human mediocrity. Fuck you and your stereotypes”. According to you, what is the most representative form of mediocrity in Metal ? 

Well, the "statement" functioned like I wanted , the intention was to put away the parasites, and looks to me that my arrogance was accepted for them, instead of using the banal “statements” that you can find in the majority of the labels websites , I’ve choose this "aggressive" form to say clear what I want and what do not want at all for my label. the decision was taken, and I see that will have a monetary effect but does not interest me so much, I don’t have any intention of "profit" and be one more "mainstreamer" of a scene infested of shitheads . Of course that I need the paper (money) to release my stuff, , gradually i achieve everything what I want, and working intensively to create some worship, and gives me sufficient time to catch the "certain" band in the exact moment, and then I am not going to arrange problems with dates, neither with stuff output factories, I am able to consider my work still has homemade, as the old style... what today very rarely seems to exist or appear. About the mediocrity I think it’s clear , only a few can really understand what I’ve wrote , and I believe you can. INCOMPLETA 

IV) How would you define these stereotypes you spit on? What is the perfect example of a band being a stupid stereotype (you can give names ah ah) ? 

It is clear that I can give you a bunch of names , Im exhausted of so much medíocrity because nobody is going to be on their right place, everybody needs to achieve the "throne",they want to be the center of all attentions, and I am against that kind of things. Names ? Why not ? Im not afraid to expose my point of view , I hate the NSBM for example , the typical abnormal guys that worship Hitler’s words and wrote Satanic lyrics , I think that’s very good (ironic!) but it’s also a contradiction I have to admit because I like some of those bands musically , but I hate almost the metal conections , Black Metal is Black Metal don’t need to say more , In Black Metal is everything : murder,suicide,darkness strong insane feelings , I think isn’t necessary to say Anti Human or Suicidal Black Metal or whatever , for me it’s pathetic. 

V) One of your very first releases was OND AAND’s Chants of the Eternal Season. What did attract you in their music? And how did you discover these crazy bastards ? 

Excellent !! Without many words to describe them , I speak regularly with Ebola, and im able to consider a good friend of mine...the main fact to "found" them was through D.Sabaoth (Flagellum Dei) that inserted us in contact, I was trying to search some bands to release , and then appears these insane bastards and the problem was resolved. They’re holders of a big attitude, they’re not trenders/posers at all , they’re music is full of influences but in the same time are one of the most original bands than I’ve heard until today , if it’s possible to me , they will be always the "BAND" of Stricto Sensu, but they also know that have my unconditional support in any decision that they will could take in the future. 

VI) You also have a few other releases with bands such as BLACK HOWLING, PESTIFERUM, MONS VENERIS, VERMEN, SUNDS, etc. Personally, I never heard about these mysterious bands, can you please tell me a few words about them ? 

Black Howling already has others releases ,which I detach a split ep with Front Beast (through Deathstrike Prod) and more
2 official demos through the Portuguese Hell War Productions. Mons Veneris is the project of Lord Infaustum where presents an extreme art, and decacence, I have more launchings discussed with him of some self-released demos, and should soon be out through Stricto Sensu. Pestiferium has already in they’re rows an excellent split beyond the one that I’ve released (w/Black Howling) that is with Blodulv (recommended). Grave Worship is arising from Australia, a band that already finished, but I decided to contact Alex and invite him to re-edit the previous demo which he ready accepted, stayed like this guaranteed an excellent release around 40min of pure hatred for life with some un-released tracks and rehearsal ones too. Well if no one ever heard to speak of these bands I am able to consider that extremely good, probably by the bands too , even I think they want to maintain a low profile and I totally agree with them ,as I can consider they barely stayed in returns of an environment more closed, some stricto sensu in wich concerns to human reach. 

VII) There is something I’m not sure to understand: your 2nd release was OND AAND tape, the 3rd one was the split DEVILISH ERA / OND AAND tape, etc., but your 1st release – NIHILUM’s Mors Ultima Ratio – never saw the light of the day… How do you explain this disorder? Why is there a delay for that release ? 

Well to be honest with you , in my view be correctly in the launchings is not much prominent, but than I can explain the situation , Nihilum is a not-common act, there are diverse motives for the launching still not been performed, and one of them is the mentor of the project find that should not spread his disease for now without more neither less , than I decided to leave the release on hold for see what happen , soon will have a decision about that, and afterwards the numbers of the releases are applied in each agreement with the respective bands, and it would be complicated change them always every time a band gives up or delays by some motive. 

VIII) Can you tell me what your future releases will be ?

Speak about future releases is complicated. I think that in yours first question you are able to take some conclusions for this answer, I must consider that I will release some demos soon, some more releases are more difficult than others but they’ll see the “light” someday for sure, for me nothing Is impossible but should have their time. Aim names is that not so good to me, because some bands not were even have any kind of contact and others we still go on half of the argument, but I can advance that I will do the invitation to 2 swedish bands, 4/5 French and 2 Portugueses, the launching confirmed for now is of IRAE that enters to replace w.o.u.n.d that opted to release through other label , Irae "Anti Human Rehearsal" will go out soon limited to 111 handnumbered copies, and soon also is going Urze, Vermen and Grave Worship. Dates? Tomorrow or after...i really don’t know. 

IX) Almost all your releases are very limited and divided into 2 versions: the “traditional” limited version (between 100-200 copies) and a “special” version, limited to 18, 33 or 57 copies! How do you consider the importance to release very limited stuff? Is it related to collector stuff or a way to reward the “elite” ? 

I think to release something in tape format is not completely necessary do more of 200 copies, first because is monetarily harmful, and I think that the majority not have the tape as their preferences anymore , by that I prefer to release few copies and try to insert in hands that can appreciate the work. The fact of have two versions, in the smallest versions im trying to put them for a restricted group of true collectors , I don’t consider “elite” , just collectors who want to put their hands on a strictly limited tape , and I think there are a few who deserve it. Elitism for me is other conversation… 

X) When OND AAND tape was released, you guy cut your veins to spill your blood on the covers. Will you act the same way for future releases? And what is the symbolic of such a decision ? 

For future releases could exist some more blood covers indeed, do not want to say necessarily that the blood would be mine, but could be from the elements of the bands or of the whores that they eat/fuck . I think that for the year I’ll release something that will be able to cause more strangeness than this, but that still as unknown.The symbolism of my decision, was give a personal touch to the release. AND then I am able to consider that my blood on "Chants of the eternal season" is a pact between Ond Aand and Stricto Sensu. 

XI) “Stricto Sensu Rekords supports your suicide…” – here’s what we can read on the website’s main statement. What is your approach of suicide? Have you ever felt the need to leave that place ? 

Yes of course, suicidal intentions is something that accompanies me daily, and each time becomes more obvious in my way of be and act. I already felt sometimes on interest to there, and of the same were deliberate acts and of full consciousness without additives (alcohol, drugs etc) within my body, but never I passed for the other side, perhaps isn’t my day neither hour. 

XII) A general feeling that came to me after I checked your website, releases & activities deals with a strong presence of death and murder. I can’t explain why, but murder’s shadows are reigning over your works… Have you ever been confronted with this strong need to kill someone you viscerally hate ? 

The presence of death, homicide or suicide is somewhat that for me is inevitable, because to my life is closed in that scope… Obviously that I feel the will to murder someone, if I was able to I would even murder the world. My hatefulness is collective, I hate humanity and nobody in private... but I can advance that I am not the traumatized type that was a lot punished at home when teenager, etc, my hatefulness was born and grew with me, is somewhat that was not created but someone fed him for sure. 

XIII) Spain has been quiet for decades & decades, but recently, a new wave of killer BM bands such as Godüs, Mortinatum, etc, have really convinced me. Which bands would you quote to defend the idea that Portugal is also a great source of killer bands ?

Good question, but is a hard answer for me. Privately any of the bands released by me, as Irae, Mons Veneris, Pestiferium, Black Howling… personally I find that the best Black Metal band in Portugal are Flagellum Dei, owners of a powerful sound and of excellent attitude, and the bands that follow since I started to listen them is Inner Helvete and they never disappointed me, they have a really strong sound and attitude... be spoken sideways Spanishes I detach barely Primigenium. 

XIV) By the way, what were the latest French releases that caught your attention ? 

Without want to look friendly, what astonished me was the new album of Devilish Era, I congratulate myself of launching this name as it is one of my favourite actual French bands. Instead of refer releases, I preffer to say some names that caught my attention: Hell Militia, Bekhira, Nehemäh, Nuit Noire, Mütiilation, Bael, Nihilistic Kaos, Darvulia, Cavaticus, Gladsheim, Svart Hat, among others. I take advantage of the space to leave a word of support for 3 excellent French labels, D.u.k.e. and without shade of doubts one of the best labels in my opinion, I detach also Insidious Poisoning and to Forgotten Wisdom. TOTAL SUPPORT.
