I) Hail you all in Godüs ! How are things doing in Spain ? Has your latest album sold well ?

Hello. I'm V.B. guitar in Godüs (First of all: sorry for my bad english).

Well, everything is quiet now, and many people have the album, we are happy with the results.

II) Ok, let me tell you I was absolutely amazed by Hellfuck Demon Sound : I’ve never heard such a bestial & brutal BM album ! It sounds intense and harsh with inhuman high-speed blast-beats, and in the same time, the sound quality is so great ! With hindsight, what is your opinion about that record ?

Is our first record. We played it, recorded it and designed it. We are very proud of it. We are very proud of the sound and the response that it has generated. 

III) I was impressed by the aggressiveness of the vocals ! But unfortunately, Abraham recently left the band ! What happened ? Have you found a new vociferator as gifted as Abraham ?

Really no. Well, with Abraham the things start to go bad when we prepared the new demos for the new record. We have a different direction than he has, in the lyrical concept, in the performance; all of us start to think and it just happens. I think that it is a real shit because we liked the Abraham's style. But it was impossible to stay together. Right now, the rest of the members sing all the stuff. We will not to search other vocalist for now. 

IV) I always wondered how and why GODÜS had signed on X-Treem Records (I guess you had more opportunities as both you and the guys from X-Treem are Spanish), because it’s a label almost famous for its brutal death releases ! How did things happen ?

Xtreem music has many foreign bands in the label, I think that our nationality is other thing apart. One day Dave Rotten listen to our demos and just made an offer to us. We thought in the offer and decided to sign with Xtreem. Is a normal process when you have a band and you want that your music have a good distribution. 

V) I personally do not know that much about the Spanish scene, but I was flabbergasted by the quality of your works (Hellfuck Demon Sound is definitely greater than most current shits stemming from Scandinavia) ! Are there similar bands in Spain that you would advise me (please, don’t tell me these crappy Berserk) ? 

Ha ha, ok, try with Cryfemal. I don't know another band like us here in Spain. Maybe, the other bands try to have a different sound, we try to sound live. No tricks, no walls of guitars... Honestly I don't know. I'm very disconnected of this scene.

VI) On your website, you give some misanthropic statements dealing with your hatred towards absurd humanity… How do you materialize these thoughts in your every day life ?

We have weapons man. We have our instruments. We try to shake the man.

VII) Have you already felt the need to kill someone ? Has your hate once given you the taste of murdering ? 

Well, every man has felt this feeling sometimes I think. But you must control these thoughts. This control makes you free when you feel something bad or when you have a mad crisis in your mind.

VIII) You claim high that GODÜS is not political and anti-NS. What do you think about those shitty NS bands ? And more generally, what is your opinion about extreme right-winged parties in politics ? Do such parties have a relevant influence in Spain ? 

I think that politics and music must go separated always. The music is a language by itself, and the music "choose" what is the thing that you going to express, do you understand me ?

We are not interested in express politic ideas. Our politic is about the human. I think that these bands are talking about things that happened many time ago, and is very difficult to judge without a real perspective.

We receive a lot of Nazi and Neo Nazi stuff and in addition we receive threats.

But we are not afraid of it. I'm not afraid of the foreign people. Today the world has no frontiers. This is a real fact. And many of these people are afraid of the foreign people. This is another real fact.

With an extreme BM band the confusion about the ideals is very easy. We decided to say that we are against to express this nazi ideas with our music. The people could be a wrong read of our stuff.

Well, here, the people are trying to forget the dictatorship. Is something recent in our story, and it is hard to many people even right now. Many people lived many crazy situations with the army or the armed police, they lost their families and friends. And I can't understand how still exist people who wants the things be equal than then. Today still exist many fascist groups and politicians, and yes, still celebrate this kind of festivals.

IX) Let’s talk about something more interesting : gigs. I couldn’t read anything precise about a GODÜS gig : what does it look like ? What are your tour plans ?

You have several live pics in our web page and you can check it!

Is difficult to us to make shows here in Madrid and in Spain. Here don't exist an extreme musical culture as in other countries.

But we loved to play live. Is the only reason for the band's life.

We play so fucking loud and without control. Is a trance, a ceremony of our dark and deep parts of our personalities. The people loved it.

Our plans are play on festivals the next year. We hope to confirm one or two very soon. But we have to prepare it, now, we have to sing all the stuff, and it demands more rehearsals and a deep restructuring. 

X) I heard you were preparing a new demo ! How is it going to be released ? Why do you go back to the demo level after having released a real album on a label ?

Well, in my opinion you have to be able to play All your record in a gig. We play a lot our songs and when we think that this song is ok we recorded it. Then, we record a demo. When we listen our demos we think in the structures, in our performance, in the feeling... Then we changed something or not. A demo is like a sketch. I have many bands demos and I liked to listen it. It is not a question about levels, I think. If we could listen the demos of many bands we'll discover that these bands are a fake. We are real. We are human (yes we are!) and we have errors, we are imperfect playing our songs. And we don't want to be perfect. Is so fucking bored when you listen a perfect record. In my opinion, the real feeling, the interesting content is in the ambience of a live record. You discovered the musicians in this kind of details. That's why we'll release demos. And that's why we recorded our record in live sessions. 

XI) Shall these new tracks sound the same as Hellfuck Demon Sound ? 

No. We have a very defined idea with HFDS. And now we have other idea, other concept and other experience. Our music is a reflection of our nowadays. Do you understand? We want to reflect other feelings in our music, but, don't expect keyboards or female voices man... it will be sound so fucking extreme and raw, but maybe a bit mystic I think. Is difficult to me to talk my own stuff. 

XII) By the way, what the hell does GODÜS mean ? 

Ha ha, Once, a German journalist say to me that Godüs in German is a new Turkish meat cake! It is a pun, a play on words. Godüs means what you want to mean. 

XIII) I know some members also perform in INFERNAL. Can you tell us more about that band ?

The drummer and the bassist play on this band. It is ok. Is a good melodic and dark BM band. I liked it. Check it when you can.
