I) Hells guy ! First usual question : can you present your band? You are a real UG band; have you the will to be known more than you are ? Hail! Inner Helvete started to insult in 1996. Line up is Cultus Profanus (Injuries, warcommands and necrovomits from Hell), Impius (Guitartarus), Arcanus (666Helldrums), Mortiferus (Guitartellery). Be more known?!? We are enough known! It wasn’t necessary to me more known. II) There are a lot of split or demos done. Can you present them, the band which have made split with you and why do you have chosen them? Have you made a real album ? IH releases : Satanic Hecatomb – promo tape 2000 III) Your music is brutal as fuck; some parts remind me BLASPHEMY! Raw sound, sepulchral death voice (do you spit some blood after singing?)…what are the feelings you want to transmit to your public? It’s quite unusual a black metal band with a lot of death metal voices. Do you like death metal? What’s your point of view on nowadays death scene ? Thanx for your comments! Yes, sometimes some guts of blood are spilled. We don’t want to transmit nothing, but naturally we transmit what we feel (hatred and disgust essentially). Some Death Metal Underground bands are really great, but today many DM bands looks more like life metal bands. It’s just a matter of look well in the deep underground and we’ll always found some crazy maniacs scream for Death and Misery!. IV) Looking at the artwork and titles’ song, I suppose that your lyrics don’t speak about tolerance between people and human freedom...tell me more about your lyrics: how do you write them? Are they important in the global musical concept? What is your main inspiration ? How we could be tolerant in a fucking rotting world as this where we live? It’s impossible! Our lyrics speaks about death, anti-christian supremacy, war.. basically our lyrics transmit our feeling of NO HOPE ! V) How important is the production for you? I’ve listened to ugly sound and some more clear with your band…so what do you prefer: raw, clear, clean ? It wasn’t important. Raw sound with a minimum of quality listenable is the best ! VI) What do you plan for IH? Have you began to compose for an album ? For the end of 2004 will be out the fucking blasphemous split LP with INNER HELVETE + ARMAGGEDON + BESATT + MISANTHROPY through Ordealis Rec. from France. For 2005 we plan the split tape with Krematorium. VII) On the demo “glorification...” there’s a sample of “Texas chainsaw massacre”: have you seen the remake of this masterpiece? Do you like horror movies ? I didn’t see yet the remake of that movie. Yes I like horror movies, but I don’t have many time to watch more. VIII) You’re playing in another band, WARMASTER; can you present the history and the line-up? How many releases have you done with this band? On which label? What will de done in the future with the band ? On War Master only Impius and Arcanus are the members. We have some tape releases including the Tribute to DEAD. All the stuff are sold out. Hell War Prod is the label behind War Master.. for the future maybe a new tape with some more Necro Black Metal. IX) What’s the difference with IH? Does IH stay your priority? What is talking about the lyrical theme ? Both are important. Both represent our individualities. Both bands represents US ! X) You told me you were involved in the label “Hell War Prod”. Why have you formed your own label? What’s your purpose, what were your motivations ? Firstly we begun HWP to release our works, since we aren’t very satisfied with the work of the label that released the War Master promo tape. So we started HWP to spread our blood. Later new bands were released by us like LUGUBRE, DEATHCHURCH, BAEL, FRONT BEAST, BLACK HOWLING, BEELZEBUL…. XI) What are your criteria to sign a band? What’s your involvement when you release a demo? Are you doing a lot of promotion ? I only need one thing I need to release a band: I must like it! I do some promotion through zines and flyers, but nothing in major mags. Just underground, truly deeper! XII) Tell me more about Portuguese scene: what can you tell me about? How is your press? And about labels? It seems there are fucking good label in your country (yours, Spit On The Cross, War Prod). You’ve done nothing with War Prod.; it’s quite surprising because they release lot of well-known bands. What about the fans? Do they support the UG black scene ? We support the following entities: War Blasphemy, Waraxis Prod., InThyFlesh, Profanum Rec., Flagellum Dei, Spit on the Cross Prod., Corpus Christii, Morte Incandescente, Acceptus Noctifier, Hiberica, Black Howling, Sterkvind, War Prod., Lux Ferre and few others. There’s some BM supports but not many. XIII) Are you playing live? Have you play in foreign countries? How do the public react ? We have played live 2 times. We got support from the demons we want. The scum that even shouldn’t go there stayed just looking at us. XIV) You know a little bit French scene I suppose…what do you think about it? A lot of people from eastern or northern lands despise French scene and laugh at the band on their review just because of their French origin…what’s your opinion about it? Ok, we have a lot of shits, but the same goes on for every scene…so, how can you explain this kind of attitude ? That attitude only the ones that have it could explain it. From your scene I support Ordealis Rec. Armaggedon, Mastema, Svart Imperium, Only Darkness, Dark Raven Prod. XV) Internet is taking a very big place today…what is your point of view about MP3? Do you share albums on the net? Do you like webzines? Do you plan to make a website for your label on your bands ? It’s a controversial issue! I’m against the share of full complete albums through net. However some rare items we just can pick up it through that way. I give much more valour to a demo tape than a demo cdr, and I’m totally against some bands that release the demos in a cdr format. If IH will have a site sometime it will just contain the necessary infos. HWP and IH will never released nothing on cd or cdr. (Except for IH in participations on compilations). XVI) About your album’s format…I did found only tapes and vinyl? No CD or CD-r! Why ? We are an Underground band, just for true underground maniacs that still get tapes and vinyl. All the others just buy cd’s, and IH aren’t for those others . Support the tape/vinyl cult ! XVII) Some different kind of styles invades black metal…first of all, the Viking way, with nature and small rabbits with clear voice, pagan chants and other enjoying part. Secondly, NS ideas, purveying racial supremacy…so what do you think of this 2 kind of styles? Are they dealing with black metal or they have to be banished? What have to be black metal ? What is Black Metal? I think IH plays Heavy Metal, because today every band label themselves (and are labelled by others) as Black Metal bands, and when I see such kind of bands called Black Metal I thought: “They don’t have nothing to do with IH and if they are BM, Inner Helvete wasn’t”. I don’t know if we are BM, are they are but one thing I know: We are VERY different from 99% of the so called Black Metal bands around here. BM should be a mix of Aggressive music with Dark feelings and Extreme attitudes. XVIII) More and more black metal people introduce in black a lot of humanist ideas…no racism, cool tolerance, some religious taboos (jewish and muslim scums)…so what the fuck is your opinion about his? For me they seem to listen to black metal only to pass their rebel attitude… BM has nothing to do with tolerance, and even less with humanism. I just don’t care about that kind of people. In few years I still be there and they will be already far from BM (or even Metal if you want). XIX) How is present Christianity in your country? Do you have to fear it? Don’t you think there are more danger with islam? And about semite people? Here in France, when you criticize them, you’re a NS and you can have trouble with justice. Your opinion ? Christianity have lost all the power that it has in the past. Yes, Islam seems to conquer some more power and some more extreme attitudes. Total Death is the solution !
