I) Hells ! Can you as usual present your band to french hordes ? What push you to create this band and to play this kind of music ? How many releases have you done ? Why this name “Flagellum dei” ? What does it mean ? 

well, in first of all we want to thank you for the opportunity for us to spread our incense to the French hellish hordes. Well, we play a traditional black metal with some old School influences as you can hear on our attacks: “Thy Plague…” our first promo-tape recorded during the year of 2000, two years later we finally record “Victory of Tyranny “our official demo this time as a cdr format, during the year of 2003 we have entered in two releases, a tree way split named “Cult of the black flame” with other two black metal hordes (Lux Ferre and Sterkvind) witch was released by a Lusitanian label named war productions, after that we have entered in a black metal compilation name “Lusitânia dark horde” released by another Lusitanian black metal label named nightmare productions. And finally in June of 2004 we have recorded the debut album named “Tormentor… of the false creator”, witch will be released by a Spanish label named bloody records witch we have a great consideration . Flagellum dei starts when this two tormented souls (Nefastus) and (D.Sabaoth) decide to create a antichristian horde to support nothing but darkness and the destruction of everything that’s holy to Christianity. We support their cleansing ! About the band name, you have to find out …it’s not to difficult… 

II) To ignorant who don’t know Flagellum, how do you describe your music ? I don’t think it’s a so common black band…What do distinguish you from other bands ? 

Our music it’s the reflection of our black hearts feelings …we are not looking for distinctions from the other bands or originality, we just play as our black hearts commands… and that’s the true meaning of our black metal, to be true to what we belief…as long as we feels so… 

III) Can you explain me about what are talking your lyrics ? Does this part have a big importance or do you write some basic sentences ? 

The lyrics it’s one of the things we most respect, because it’s some very personal in Nefastus writing, so we don’t tell nothing about that . You don’t see any lyric of flagellum dei so far and we have some doubts if you ever will... only the future can tell… 

IV) What is you technique to compose ? The bass has a great importance in your music (and it’s a fucking good point)…why this choice? Usually the bass is recovered by guitars and playing rhythmic. 

As I tell you in our technique it’s the feeling we put in every song witch we create, the bass was important in the past but no more, because we don’t have a bass player anymore… and we want to keep it that way…

V) Can you present Portuguese scene? What are the good labels, bands and zines (and the worst of course)? Do you think Moonspell has been a good opportunity for the Portuguese scene? What do you think of their music? Since when your UG scene is active? Here in France this scene is not very well known (except DECAYED and CORPUS CHRISTII) ? 

Well, the Lusitanian scene are stronger than ever, we have a lot of excellent black metal hordes as Corpus Christii, Decayed, Storm Legion, InThyFlesh, Lux Ferre, Irae, Merihim, Flamma Aeterna, Celtic Dance, Oniric, Morte Incandescente and many other good black metal hordes and we don’t care about their music sounds like, we leave that for the critical ones. As long as they keep the black flame burning in their hearts and in their music... We create a true friendship with this hordes, but this is not a circle ! Each band think by their hone and this includes Flagellum dei. About Moonspell, we think that they were one of the first Lusitanian bands spreading the Lusitanian metal across the world and for that they deserve some respect… we want to present our regards to WAR PRODUCTIONS and war fauste for the never ending support to Flagellum dei and other Lusitanian black metal hordes. The same I must say about NIGHTMARE PRODUCTIONS, another grate Lusitanian black metal label. They’ll keep the black flame burning!! For those who don’t support us we don’t give a fuck about them… 

VI) For “Victory…” cd, you were on “Spit on the cross prod”…why didn’t you stay with them for another cd? Why have you been to WAR PROD? Are you still with them? What do you expect from your actual label? 

Spitonthecross is a small label who have released “Victory of tyranny” and like I said in WAR PRODUCTIONS hose one of the Lusitanian labels witch them support deserves mush more than words… 

VII) Your prod are very limited…do you think this kind of releases has to be repressed later when they are sold out? Or did they stay hard to find? Do you accord some interest to the packaging? Can you explain me what the pictures on “Victory..”? 

I think that our black metal is for a small number of maniacs around this world full of christians and shit… 

VIII) In your country, did christianity be a plague? Have you some kind of problem with islam? Your opinion about religion in general? Are you involved in a kind of religious Satanism ? 

Fuck all religions !!!!! 

IX) Do you know French scene? Do you like it? What is the better country for you or the country which can give a lot of perspective? 

we know some French hordes like : Vlad Tepes, Antaeus, DEATHSPELL OMEGA, Eternal majesty and many other black metal hordes and their devoting for the black metal scene it’s some that we respect…

X) Actuality question…what do you think of the world state? Do you believe in the good nature of man, that peace and love will triumph? How do you see near future ? 

we strongly belief that this peace of shit called earth will blow soon !!! 

XI) We can see a lot of NS bands…politics and black metal have to be mixed? Do you think NS ideology is a shame for the black scene? 

Political black metal is ridicules, we despise it ! 

XII) You can conclude as you want…
