I) Sadistikz Hailz to Deathchurch?!!! At fisrt, can you tell us the blasphemik story of your beast from the very beginning? How it all started? Your motivations?? HellZ... Deathchurch's history is not
long actually. I formed this shit in the end of 2002 and asked two fuckers,
Necrocunt and DxOxOxMx respectively, to help me with this band after I
had finished composing a few tracks for Deathchurch. In April of 2003,
"Necro Hell Rehearsal 2003" was released in 100 copies and in
August 2003, next piece of the tormenting hell namely "Vomit upon
the Burning Heaven". In March of 2004, "Crushing the Dreams
of Benevolence" is out form HellWar Productions (Por), whose recording
itself had already been finished in Sep 2003. We have just spawned another
piece of detestation called "Paranoid Destrution" cassette... II) To be honest, I?m really tired of most of the current new Black / Death Metal releases but, your raw & sick Black Death was a good surprise! The Deathchurch?s offering are very close to the unholy origins!!! What bands can you summon like unpure & strong influences? How do you see the modern generation of Extrem Metal that use keyboards, female vocals, electronics effects?? Thanks for your compliment. The bands I can mention as strong influences are PROFANATICA, BEHERIT, BATHORY, (very early) MAYHEM, GISM, SARCOFAGO and so on. I am NOT interested in modern Extreme Metal at all. I need more sadistik noise... III) After your two first tapes that were like kalachnikov discharges in the head, what is your battleplan for the future? As I said above, "Crushing the Dreams of Benevolence" and "Paranoid Destruktion" is out. After these two releases, the first EP "Unsilent Hate Anthem" is planned to be out in Sep and split-EP with MORQUIDO in winter. Actually, a few more release plans are lurking in my mind, but I guess it should remain untold until right time comes. IV) The Asian Black Death Underground
seems to be very strong but, exept for some great bands, is not very well-knowed
in Europe. What can you tell us about your filthy underworld? Are you
in touch with bands like Infernal Necromancy, Insanity Of Slaughter, Holocaust
Winds, Funeral Elegy or Gorugoth? I don't want to talk about Sigh. Ask it to other people. As for Asian Metal scene, honestly I don't know well sbout it. I often buy or trade demos of some unknown Asian bands and most of them sound fucking brutal and relentless. Especially those from Indonesia. Black Metal image with Brutal Death-like drumming and song structure... Very strange combination. Some European maniaks seem to be obsessed with such exotic extremity. I am in touch with Infernal Necromancy and Funeral Elegy among the bands you mentioned. Japanese Black Metal scene is very very small. There is nothing special to talk about it. V) Deathchurch & gigs!!!!
Leather, spikes, blood, corpse-paints & blasphemy I suppose?!!!! Deathchurch's gig is very simple. Mental violence and crude self war. I guess this could describe our gig to some extent. The reactions I got from the audience are mostly silent. They just stood there and watched our macabre without any action. The gig on 27/12/2003 was disappointing, because I got fucked up badly. I am the one responsible for the fault on that day. VI) Deathchurch is undoubdtedly a radikal satanic band! hat are your visions of Satanism? A religious kult? An individualistic philosophy?Are you experiencing blood & flesh rituals?Are you including in Deathchurch?s concept some elements of the Japanese occultism like Sigh did for example? Definition of "satanic" is very
wide. For some people, Deathchurch wouldn't look satanic in their eyes.
I scorn Satanism in the religious way. I for myself refuse to be the part
of any organized kult. If there were one religion I follow, it would be
"Reality" which I am facing now. My ideology comes from all
I have seen and touched in my life, not from what is written in Satanic
Bible, Holy Bible nor famous philosopher's book. Burn them all. Let your
will get independent totally and unleashed from those I can understand what you mean with "blood
and flesh rituals", but I wouldn't call it "Ritual" but
"play". Not special at all. I just enjoy the play. VII) Beyond Satanism, what do you think about the others ideological movements that rules the Extrem Metal scene? In an interview, Dagon (the frontman of the mighty Inquisition), said, “Satan is intimidating our enemies, Odin is not! Black Metal is the ultimate weapon, satanic and grim Black Metal that is?” An opinion? I just want to make the people feel the pulse of detestation with the music of Deathchurch. One Ideological thing always lives in man's mind, but it seems to me that most of the people don't learn it from their own experiences, but from others' words and movements favoured by trendy masses. I'd say they are just empty shit. They'd never give you anything. Satan is much more suitable for Black Metal than Odin, but it must be your hands that crush the enemies. VIII) Can you give me your points of view about: The human scum and the humanitarian principles. In a way, humans is one of the sources
which make me play hateful musick and my living urge stronger. Without
them, I might not have been what I am now. However, I am a human without
any fucking doubt, so I always got disgusted by vulgar laughters, narsistic
philanthropy and shit like that. They all are also living somewhere in
myelf, therefore I could understand how shitty they could get . Probably,
you might call some of them "humanitarian principles". I despise
philanthropism more than anything else, but yet I can't find the method
to get rid of them totally. Could you The Christian ?white metal? (the so called ?Holy Unblack Metal?) What the hell is this!?!?? Stupid... Do you mean German Metal!?!?!? The War World War three will begin while we are living. The term "Peace" is soon to be proved as nonesense. Only fool beleives this world is blessed with peace. Self mutilation I do like self-mutilation, but it is not for a religious purpose. Take it as entertainment. I like the Feeling as if hell were licking my flesh after I deeply cut myself. Hard drug suicide propaganda in the name of Satan There is no place for suicide propanga in Deathchurch. I chose to live for myself baptised in torments. IX) Before concluding, have you got some views about the French BM scene? When I began listening to Black Metal, I remeber it was those Black Legions' bands that made me interested in more Ug Black Metal stuff. Actually, I have littele knowledge abouth Today's French scene, but Antaeus's "Cut Your Flesh and Worship Satan" album always makes me go insane... X) Time has come to end this fucking interview!
