« Daemonium Inattaminatis Live
» “Deamonium Inattaminatis” is a live demo of french underground Black Metal band Cavaticus. It was recorded at the gig in 2003 so the screams of few fans hails every new song. The first thing is to be mentioned is the awful quality of sound that's why it's very hard to value the musical stuff fairly. So the things that are clear even in such situation: Cavaticus works in classic Black Metal style, following all the canons of genre. Heart-rending screaming monotonously drawls phrases creating the wall of illegible howls. Almost all compositions are based on fast drumming with rare slow fragments that sound much more interesting in my opinion. Other instruments that forms solid stuff are almost obscure and we can only guess that guitar riffs are simple technically and melodies are unpretentious. As a tradition of live shows Cavaticus plays cover on immortal Mayhem hit "Deathcrush" and plays it well. The final conclusion is that the band has potential, though some songs are really weak. Let's wait for studio work to get the whole picture without shortcomings of bad sound Par Storm |
